Cure Chronic Prostatitis - Dispelling a Few Myths

For a Prostatitis sufferer, trying to understand complex, often conflicting diagnoses of their condition is unnecessarily compounded by a number of things which at best are suspect and at worst, simply myths.
* The fact that one or even a number of series of tests endeavouring to isolate pathogens returns no results, does not at all mean a sufferer has non-bacterial Prostatitis. Although it means nothing can be proven conclusively in either direction, a patient should keep something firmly in mind : there is no known cause of non-bacterial prostatitis, and prostatitis is most likely caused by bacteria
* Prostatitis is the result of sexual contact... Such is the conclusion of many people upon hearing the word "Prostatitis". And such may be the immediate conclusion of a spouse upon hearing a doctor's diagnosis. Prostatitis will affect a large proportion of men in their life, and an inflamed, infected prostate and surrounding area can be due to many causes, including urinary reflux, stones, a poor immune system, medical interventions like urethral catheterizations, an abnormal urinary tract, as well as sexual contact
* Myth number 3 : there is no known cause, successful treatment or cure for your Prostatitis. If no pathogens are isolated, and no relief is gained from courses of oral antibiotics, it does not mean there is no hope for the sufferer. The vast majority of prostatitis sufferers find that they have to pursue cure treatments beyond the narrow range that their usual medical provider utilizes.
A long-term chronic Prostatitis sufferer is not beyond hope. Repeated courses of oral antibiotics may well make it more difficult to be cured. Repeated failed consultations and treatment programs with mainstream Western medicine is not the end of the road. There are treatment centers for Prostatitis which are pushing the boundaries, often with practical and sensible solutions, which gives real hope of a full cure to the prostatitis patient.
